DESIGN DETAILS

W Lounge features design details inspired by Scotland's natural landscape. Charred wood Georgian panelling to the internal core walls reflects two opposite qualities: fiery force of nature and a rational order of the New Town created in the Enlightenment era. Just like two faces of the city, it's a perfect embodiment of the duality of Edinburgh.

Our monolithic, rock-shaped bar is a tribute to Edinburgh's volcanic geology, echoing its craggy hills and stone buildings. Adding a touch of playfulness and movement, the copper fringe ceiling feature captivates the eye. The watery, rippled ceiling effect and reflective metal insets in the flooring evoke the capricious weather and lochs of Scotland, while the signature blue-stained theatrical drapery provides a dramatic backdrop.
